I'm looking for my next good read so I thought I would turn to the 3 of you that follow this sorry-excuse-for-a-blog to see what's on your bookshelves these days. I'm trying to read 15 books for pleasure this year. I know it sounds like child's play to some of you that read non-stop. Oh, there was a day when I always had a good book in hand. Don't get me wrong, I'm always reading now. But usually it's required reading for work - research on retention, powerful instructional strategies, continuous improvement, motivating the unmotivated, etc. So I'm trying to work in 15 books for my own reading pleasure. Here's my list so far:
Lovely Bones was a great book. Movie, not so much.
Don't judge me. I love biographies. Open (Andre Agassi) is on my list to read, too.
I'm reading Raising Cain and Nuture Shock right now. While I'm a huge fan of a good trashy novel, I do love me some non-fiction, self/family improvement. If you're raising a boy, I highly recommend Raising Cain. Thanks to Cara for recommending Nuture Shock. So far so good! Nuture Shock covers a wide range of topics like praising your kids (and why you might be hurting them - yeah that was a teaser), talking about race, teen rebellion, etc.
So now I want to know, what are YOU reading?
P.S. - this requires you leaving a comment. HINT HINT!!
